A font-related problem caused the text in our May 1 print edition to be off kilter, so some stories have clipped sentences and others have a unbalanced amount of empty space at the end of them.

Such appears to be the price of transitioning to color photographs on all pages. We wish it weren't so.

Anyway, I just wanted to remind people that the online versions of the stories are complete. We apologize for any inconvenience or confusion this glitch has caused. We expect the problem to be resolved for next week's print edition.
