As of Tuesday afternoon, Penn Township police and the FBI still were looking for two men who robbed the Irwin Bank & Trust along Route 130 in Penn Township.
According to Michael Mastroianni, Penn Township police chief, police were notified by phone of the robbery at 10:27 a.m. on Monday.
Mastroianni said two armed men -- who were wearing masks, hats and gloves -- entered the bank and demanded money from a bank teller.
Both men had handguns, but no shots were fired and no one was injured, Mastroianni said.
He said witnesses saw the men leave with an undisclosed amount of money in a dark, midsize, four-door sedan that was heading toward Level Green.
"We searched the area and didn't come up with anything," Mastroianni said. "We're in a joint investigation with the FBI."
Police also are investigating another nearby bank robbery at the Irwin Bank at Haymaker Village in Monroe-ville early Monday afternoon.
"It's not determined (whether they're related), but we're certainly looking into it," Mastroianni said.
Anyone with additional information should call Penn Township police at 724-863-1119.
