People fishing at B-Y Park might be faced with limitations in the near future.

Though Trafford Recreation Board members discussed making the pond a catch-and-release site, they agreed the fish are supposed to be caught. But board President Tom Baric said a limit on the number of fish that are taken home should be implemented.

Baric suggested a flexible system in which a catch-and-release sign would be posted with special regulations. The regulations would be listed under the sign, and they would change depending on the number of stocked fish or upcoming events.

"We could limit it to one or two, depending on what's going on at the pond, or on derby day, it could be kids only," Baric said. "We'll do it on a case-by-case basis. It's the best of both worlds."
