Local wresters win at National tourney

Five Penn-Trafford area wrestlers competed in the U.S. Youth Wrestling Association Elementary/Middle School Nationals on March 8 in Chester, W.Va. Three boys took first for championship titles and two were medal placers.

Solomon Chishko, 12, wrestled in the elementary division at 87 pounds. This was his third USYWA championship title. He defeated all his opponents with pins. He is a sixth-grade student at the Agora Public Charter School.

Anthony Cable, 13, wrestled in the elementary division at 105 pounds. He won his first USYWA championship title. He is a sixth-grade student at Penn Middle School.

Brandon Vorous, 14, wrestled in the middle school division at 134 pounds. He was awarded first with a championship title. He is an eighth-grade student at Penn Middle School and wrestles for the Penn-Trafford Junior High program.

Job Chishko, 9, wrestled in the elementary division at 62 pounds. He was awarded third place and is a second-grade student at the Agora Public Charter School.

Joey Fiasco, 13, wrestled in the middle school division at 100 pounds. He placed fifth and is a seventh-grade student at Penn Middle School and wrestles for the Penn Trafford Junior High program.
