Katherine Dragish
Formerly of Trafford
Former Trafford resident Katherine H. Dragish, a retiree of Westinghouse Electric' East Pittsburgh plant, died April 20, 2008. She was 89.
Born Feb. 13, 1919, in Oak Hill, Ms. Dragish was a member of St. Colman Church in Turtle Creek.
She is survived by her nephews and nieces.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at Alfieri Funeral Home Inc., Wilmerding. A service will be at 9 a.m. Friday in the funeral home followed by Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. in St. Colman Church, Turtle Creek. Interment will be at New St. Joseph Cemetery.
Virginia Roberts
Great-grandmother
Virginia Walder Roberts of North Huntingdon died April 17, 2008. She was 82.
Born Jan. 21, 1926, in Pittsburgh, she was the daughter of John and Jessie Gormley Walder. She formerly worked at Montgomery Ward, Greengate Mall, and Camera Cade until retiring.
She is survived by her sons, Gregory Roberts (and wife, Darlene) of North Huntingdon and Douglas Roberts (and Gayle) of Manor; a daughter, Barbara Roberts of Findlay, Ohio; a brother, John Walder; a sister, Nancy Stiglitz; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William Roberts, and her parents.
Private arrangements were handled by Vincent V. Rodgers Funeral Home, Irwin.
Elizabeth K. Kearney
Retired teacher
Elizabeth Kathryn Kearney of Murrysville, an elementary teacher and reading specialist, died April 16, 2008. She was 88.
Mrs. Kearney was born Nov. 5, 1919, in Rankin to Joseph and Sophia Kralick Adams. A graduate of Duquesne University, she taught for 42 years at Mary Magdalene Catholic School in Homestead and in the General Braddock School District. She was a member of Mother of Sorrows Church and the Duquesne University Alumni Association.
She is survived by a daughter, Kathleen Elizabeth Kearney of Penn Township; son, Michael (and wife, Elisa) Kearney Jr. of Murrysville; and granddaughters, Shannon and Erin.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Michael Kearney; brother, Joseph Adams, sister, Madeline McDonough; and her parents.
Visitation was at Hart Funeral Home Inc., Murrysville. Mass was in Mother of Sorrows Church, Murrysville. Interment was at All Saints Catholic Cemetery, Braddock.
